Pastor Robert L. Woodbury has dedicated over 15 years to pastoral leadership, inspiring individuals to embrace their God-given purpose and live impactful lives. He serves as the Senior Pastor of Bethel Word Church in Mullins, SC—a growing and dynamic ministry with a divine mandate to break the hold of religion in the region and expand the Kingdom of God on Earth. He is also the Founding Leader of Disruptive Kingdom Ministries, an innovative organization advancing the Kingdom through media, publishing, and technology. A spiritual son of Bishop Dr. Willie L. Brigman of Loris, SC, and the late Apostle Vivian L. Troy of Mullins, SC, Pastor Woodbury continues their legacy of powerful kingdom work. He is a prolific speaker, entrepreneur, consultant, and teacher of the Kingdom of God. His life’s mission is to empower people, equip nations, and disrupt systems to bring about lasting change for God’s glory. Pastor Woodbury’s influence extends beyond the church. He served in city government for eight years, including as a city councilman and later as the first African American Mayor of the City of Mullins. His leadership and impact have earned him numerous resolutions and awards for government service, community impact, and achievements, including his induction into the NAACP Hall of Fame. In addition to his pastoral and civic roles, Pastor Woodbury is a chaplain for his local hospital system and public safety agencies, providing spiritual care and support to his community. He also serves on the board of directors for multiple local and regional nonprofits and community service organizations, including Thrive Community Impact Corporation, the outreach arm of Bethel Word Church. With over 14 years of experience in the Information Technology field as a developer/programmer and business data analyst, Pastor Woodbury brings a wealth of knowledge and innovation to every area he serves. Above all, Pastor Woodbury is a devoted family man. He is joyfully married to Lady Shiquata A. Woodbury, and together they are the proud parents of five amazing children. With their love and support, Pastor Woodbury continues to pursue his calling to empower people, equip nations, and disrupt systems for the Kingdom of God.
