Robin Lapre

Robin Lapre is a physician who took up volunteering at animal shelters as a hobby, and got sucked into the whole world of animal rescue! After years of volunteering at various shelters and animal related nonprofits, Robin became convinced that we needed to educate children at an early age so that they would learn how to be good pet owners. How can we blame people if they were never taught? Doggie Do's and Don'ts as Told by Cadence the Dog features real shelter dogs from Tennessee. She has other children's books forthcoming in 2025 that she hopes will serve as a blueprint for how we can teach kids about animal welfare. In her spare time, Robin enjoys her family (including her dogs), hiking, and she continues to work as a physician and animal shelter volunteer.
