Ever since he went hunting with a borrowed Savage 99 as a teenager, this native Nebraskan has had an interest in Savage 99 rifles. In 2005 while doing some research into a family member's engraved Savage 1899, he started learning about and researching the history of Savage lever action rifles. Working with the knowledgeable Savage collector community at www.24hourcampfire.com over the last couple of decades, they've found answers to a lot of unsolved questions - and he's decided to share that information through his book.
