Behind the long draped soft velvet curtain, an array of illuminating light gently sparkles on the surface of tiny pieces of the looking glass. As she steps closer to admire the shimmering glass, she gently twists her head from side to side as she is bewildered by her reflection, she doesn’t recognize the person she sees. In a soft, quiet voice she asks herself, who are you? For 20 years she labored as a low-key journalist, and she was content to stay hidden behind the curtain and let her darkly tinted rose shades keep her in the shadows distorting the colored perception she had of her unique reality. That is where she was safe. Even though at times she stumbled in shallow puddles which seeped through her strappy sandals, she never allowed them to rain on her sunshine. Sure, she had mastered the craft of coloring in the lines as she danced in the circles of the socially acceptable cues that were ever present in familiar spaces. God had sprinkled her life with unanticipated rainbows and lightning bolts that shook her very core, her essence of being, but throughout it all she remained faithful as she pressed her way through. Surely, there must be more she thought. As God gently begins to pull back the curtain of her life, she is blinded by the light representing the endless possibilities of what she sees. Join Rosemarie in her quest to reveal what’s next behind the velvet curtain. It may not be what you think…
