Ryan has contributed to AI advancements in healthcare, education, and digital commerce. At Semantic Health, acquired by AAPC in 2023, Ryan is responsible for the AI and software stack, leading the tech side of the company from a small team in Canada to a significant presence in the US. He and his team have successfully leveraged Large Language Models (LLMs) to bolster hospital Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) processes. Ryan created MLExpert, a technical interview prep platform with over 65,000 paid students. MLExpert focuses on real-world approaches that leverage machine learning in various business cases. At Amazon, Ryan established a new ML team within Amazon Digital Commerce, leading work in subscription churn analysis and customer retention. His technical leadership in personalizing the Amazon retail website and search experience contributed to 10-figure ARR growth.
