Stu Lisson is an Emmy award winning producer, director and author crafting documentaries on some of America's most accomplished achievers including Tom Brokaw, Joyce Carol Oates and others. He's also written and produced special features for Universal Pictures, and 20th Century Studios. In 2008, Lisson, working with Universal Pictures, helped bring the world premiere of the motion picture The Express to Syracuse. In 2017 Lisson was part of the Emmy Award winning team that produced Miracle on 42th Street, the story of Manhattan Plaza narrated by Chaz Palmentieri. In 2020 Lisson followed with an Emmy for the The Real Bedford Falls, It's a Wonderful Life featuring the film classic's original co-stars Karolyn Grimes (ZuZu) and Jimmy Hawkins (Tommy Bailey). The film, narrated by NBC correspondent Bob Dotson, won Best Documentary at the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences annual awards. The video was released on DVD on January 15, 2020 and also featured on PBS. Lisson resides in the picturesque Finger Lakes region of New York with his family and Riley, a West Highland Terrier.
