Sal Naseem

Sal Naseem is a national inclusive culture expert, who has worked in some of the most difficult environments and uses his unique professional and personal experiences to empower organisations and individuals within leadership, inclusive culture building and changemaking. Sal is the former Director for London at the Independent Office for Police Conduct, where he spent the best part of a decade working in the police accountability framework in England and Wales. Sal has dealt with some of the most high-profile misconduct cases featuring the Metropolitan Police Service in its recent history. His voice on these issues in the media has reached millions of people over the years both in the UK and internationally. He has also supported a number of organisations on their work tackling toxic culture. Sal is a policing expert and media commentator, using his platform to talk about male allyship as a necessity in the fight against male violence against women and girls, and broad issues related to inclusion. His current role is as an Assistant Director in the largest local authority in Europe but he also juggles a number of other roles. Sal is an independent member of the National Fire Chiefs Council supporting their work on institutional racism and misogyny, a Trustee of the Centre for Justice Innovation, a Senior Associate Fellow at the Police Foundation, a Fellow at the Society of Leadership Fellows and an Ambassador for Future Leaders UK. As a LinkedIn Top Voice and influencer, Sal also uses his own platform to engage audiences on issues concerning inclusive culture. He has been honoured in the Diversity Power List 23/24 as one the top 50 most profound champions of inclusion in the UK. He is also the winner of the national Equality Diversity and Inclusion Award from the FDA Union in 2023. Sal has also been recognised as one of the most inspirational leaders on inclusion by D&I Leaders 2024.
