Salih Sayilgan is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies at Georgetown University. His research concentrates on Islamic theology and practice, Qur’anic studies, Islam in America, and Christian-Muslim relations. Prior to his appointment at Georgetown, Sayilgan served as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Islamic and Interreligious Studies and Louisville Postdoctoral Fellow at Wesley Theological Seminary. He is the author of An Islamic Jihad of Nonviolence: Said Nursi's Perspective, Exploring Islam: Theology and Spiritual Practice in America, and God, Evil, and Suffering in Islam.
