Sallieann Harrison

关于作者

Sallieann Harrison lives in Bristol in the UK and began sewing at around 9 years old, fashioning outfits from her mother's used workwear. Her love of needlework and art continued throughout school. However, on leaving school she took on a series of finance-based roles. Sallieann's life made a massive turn when she moved in 2000 to New Bern, North Carolina with her family, where she discovered her first Patchwork & Quilting Store. Sallieann was smitten and immediately began taking classes. Within just 3 years she was instructing and exhibiting and LOVED it! In 2003 she returned to the UK and undertook a degree in Education which led to a 10-year career with the UK Education Regulator Ofsted. Her love of sewing always remained and she taught patchwork privately and demonstrated for major UK brands. Following redundancy from the education sector in 2016, Sallieann “jumped into sewing with both feet” and designed for magazines, taught residential courses, and exhibited - winning many awards for her stunning work. In 2018 Sallieann was invited to take on the role of demonstrator/designer on Sewing Street TV. Five years later, she is still working for them and has become one of their most popular demonstrators and designers. Her excitement and enthusiasm for the craft is totally infectious and is evident in every show. In 2020 Sallieann developed her own website selling sewing mainly digital patterns, Zoom workshops. The response has been amazing. Alongside this she runs a Facebook Community group to support sewists with extra help, giveaways and video instruction. If you would like to gain a flavour of her work (pre book!) then take a peek at her website - SallieannQuilts.com or her Etsy Store - SallieannQuilts. Her style is unusual and varied with an eclectic mix of sewing and patchwork techniques within small achievable projects.
