He started as an apprentice in cabinet shop and has worked as a carpenter and cabinetmaker, gaining experience in both custom and mass-production cabinetmaking techniques. Mr. Allen is a widely published free-lance writer. He is the author of over ten woodworking books including, Wood Finisher’s Handbook and Making Workbenches.
