Sam Pemberton

Sam Pemberton was born on Bratton Creek, at an old homestead that hadn't changed much since the pioneer days. The year was 1944. Pemberton graduated from Big Flat high school. After their graduation in 1962, Sam married the love of his life, Patricia Treat. He has worked construction in the drywall trade for most of his life. Sam presently lives in the beautiful Ozarks and continues in construction, as well as developing a new adventure called The Gathering Place in Big Flat, Arkansas, which is a restoration of the old building that is referred to in the novel as the store. He hopes you’ll stop by sometime.
