Samuel Bentil is a Senior Director of construction disputes and advisory (delay and quantum) at Ankura Consulting Group and the author of the book, Avoid Construction Disputes: Ten Principles to Collaborate Effectively to Achieve On-Time and On-Budget Project Objectives. With eighteen years of experience in the construction industry, Samuel has served as both a project planner and disputes and forensic claims consultant. He has investigated delays and cost overruns on over a hundred projects, gaining deep insights into the root causes of disputes and their impacts on stakeholders. Samuel holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA from the Bob Gaglardi School of Business and Economics at Thompson Rivers University in British Columbia, Canada. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Risk Management Professional (RMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI). His experience spans projects of varying scales across multiple sectors, including a fifteen-billion dollar Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facility, where he helped avoid multiple disputes during construction. In addition to his professional endeavors, Samuel is a minister of the Gospel and an avid dancer. Through his ministry, Revelation by Grace Ministries, Samuel and his wife Elizabeth share the message of the Kingdom of God and promote community and spiritual well-being by teaching worshipful messianic dancing in public parks in the Fraser Valley, British Columbia during the summer. Samuel’s career reflects his commitment to fostering collaboration and resolving disputes, which he channels into helping clients achieve harmonious and successful project completions.
