Sandra has been telling stories in one way or another since her childhood days in New England. As a dance teacher, choreographer and artistic director, she told stories on the stage. Now, as an author, she tells stories on the page. Though an avid reader of books in all genres, she is passionate about the emotional power of picture books and loves writing for the age group who loves them as much as she does. She is the author of SLEEPYHEADS, illustrated by Joyce Wan, published by Beach Lane/Simon and Schuster in hardcover in 2014 and by Little Simon/Simon and Schuster in 2016 as a board book. She has lived near the Atlantic, the Pacific and the Gulf, which is where she currently resides in the greater Houston, TX area. She considers it a great privilege and responsibility to write for children. She hopes her books will be a window to the world around them and their relationship to it.
