Sara Davenport

Sara Davenport is an award-winning TV anchor and reporter who spent decades on-air across the nation. While this Houston-based journalist loved being a TV anchor, she missed being home to see her children grow up. Sara knew in her heart that, after years of anchoring the news in front of 4-million people a day, it was time to put her 4 children first! Sara decided it was time to pivot away from the high-profile life, and begin designing a life she loved. Sara stepped away from the anchor desk in her mid-30s, and never looked back! As a multi-passionate entrepreneur, Sara began her online business ventures while still a newscaster. She is a brand ambassador and runs a very successful e-commerce business in the health and wellness industry. She has trained in front of groups of 18,000 people, while traveling the world to open up new markets for the brand. Sara is also a career and talent coach, for women who feel stuck, yet know in their hearts that they are “made for more!” She mainly works with journalists inside the TV industry, as she founded the “Breaking out of Breaking News Academy” in 2022. But her coaching extends to all women who feel like they need to uncover their passions and design a life they love. When Sara is not running her online businesses, you will find this former Division 1 athlete on the tennis courts with friends or cheering on her boys. Most school nights are spent on the sidelines of baseball fields, basketball courts, or in the stands at lacrosse games. Most weekends are spent between homes in Sugar land, Texas and their “river retreat” on the San Bernard River…. wakeboarding, surfing, playing pickleball and sitting with friends by the fire. The Davenports truly feel like they’ve designed a life they love! If there’s just one thing that Sara wants you to take away from her story, is that you don’t have to be a “one trick pony!” She believes everyone is made for greatness, and often that greatness is revealed when you walk away from that 9-5 job you don’t love.
