Sara O'Meara was born Sara Buckner in Knoxville, Tennessee and was educated at Briarcliff Junior College, New York; Endicott College, Massachusetts; The Sorbonne, France; and Pasadena Playhouse, California. Sara lives in Paradise Valley, Arizona. She has a son, John Hopkins. Her other son, Chuck, passed away in 1988 in an auto accident. Sara also has a daughter, Taryn and three grandchildren. Sara lost her husband Colonel Robert (Bob) Sigholtz in 2005. Bob was a highly decorated Colonel who fought in three wars – World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was also the Athletic Director of Georgetown University and General Manager of RFK Stadium. Sara’s life profoundly changed when as a young woman, she was diagnosed with terminal cancer and given weeks to live. As she sat in her hospital bed, wiping away the tears, she declared, “I am not ready to die,” and God was listening. While still in the hospital, Sara was miraculously led by God to attend world-renowned Evangelist Kathryn Kuhlman’s service at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, where she was completely healed and given God’s healing gift over five decades ago. This started a beautiful friendship between these two godly women, working together to shine God’s healing light on the earth until Kathryn’s death in 1976. Before Kathryn’s death, during a trip together to Israel, Kathryn reiterated to Sara that she, too, was given a healing gift the day she received her personal healing, and that thousands of people would be healed through her ministry. Sara has spent her life serving God, giving Him all the glory. She reminds others that God loves them, and we must place Him first always. Sara currently holds monthly services at The Little Chapel in Arizona. Thousands of healings have been verified over a span of 50 years. A book of over 100 miraculous examples of God’s healing grace has been published in her dear friend Yvonne Fedderson’s book, Miracle Healing: God’s Call. Sara was led by God to write a NEW book, Healed - Your Miracle Awaits, which launched on September 18, 2023, and became and remains a #1 Bestseller on Amazon! This book is needed now more than ever and is a beautiful reflection of God’s love for His children and how to navigate life during these trying times.
