SCARLETT FROST. Wow, that’s really me! At least, that’s who I am when I step into the world of writing Contemporary Romance novels. Never in a million years did I think I’d become a published author. At 63 years old, just shy of retirement after two successful careers in the entrepreneurial world, I’ve taken a leap into a new adventure—writing. While I’ve always been a creative soul, my analytical mind has often taken center stage. Numbers and concepts come naturally to me, and maybe that’s why I doubted I’d be good at storytelling. It’s a constant tug-of-war between my two strengths. But with retirement on the horizon, I knew it was time to nurture my creative side—the part of me that’s been quietly waiting for its moment to shine. For those who know me, creativity isn’t a new pursuit. My projects have always been a reflection of my passions. I sew and cook from scratch, tend to my garden, and breathe new life into thrifted treasures. I’m a champion of thrift shopping and have an unshakable love for all living creatures—yes, even the spiders that wander indoors during winter. My son, now grown and married to an incredible woman, often teases that I’m kind to a fault. What can I say? This is when I’m at my happiest. I must confess—I have two great loves when it comes to writing. While I adore heartwarming happily-ever-after romance, I’m equally drawn to the twists and turns of suspenseful detective mysteries. How do I manage to balance such different genres? You’ll just have to read my books to find out! Keep an eye out for those unexpected twists—they might just surprise you. Right now, my writing journey is a well-kept secret, shared only with my closest friends and family. My long-time boyfriend and soulmate of 32 years has been my greatest supporter, often lending a hand with inspiration for steamy scenes. He’s got a knack for just the right spark! One of the most common questions I get is, “Do your ideas come from real-life experiences?” My answer? “Well, it wouldn’t be fiction if they did, now would it?” I suppose you’ll just have to keep guessing—because I’ll never tell! Taking this leap of faith into writing has been both exhilarating and humbling. As I embark on this new chapter, I hope to bring as much joy to my readers as I’ve found in this creative journey.
