SCARLETT FROST. WOW! That’s really me! At least that’s who I am when I am writing my Contemporary Romance novels. Never in a million years would I have EVER thought I would be a published author. At the age of 63, less than a year from retirement and after two very successful careers, both being from the entrepreneurial world. I ventured out into contemporary Romance Novel writing. I have always been a creative soul, but I am also an analytical thinker. I am great with numbers and concepts. Maybe that is why I didn’t think I would be very good at writing. It’s a constant battle between my two strengths. Now that my retirement life vastly approaches, I wanted to get back to my creative side and feed that part of my soul. It has been starving for way too long. Most people that know my creative side spans many projects. I sew from scratch, cook from scratch, I love gardening and repurposing furniture. I am a Thrift Shopper to the max. I have a love for all living creatures and can’t even bring myself to kill an occasional spider that comes in for a visit in the cold days of winter. My son (grown and married to a wonderful woman) has told me many times I am too kind to a fault. What can I say? This is when I am at my happiest. I must be honest with you though; I have two loves when it comes to writing. I do love wonderful Happy Ever After love stories, but I also love great suspense detective mystery stories too. How do I become an accomplished writer in such an array of genres you ask? You may just have to read my books and find out. Keep an eye out for a few scenes that will surprise you. Right now, only my closest friends and family know of my Leap of Faith. Shhhhhh, it’s a secret! Those that do are such great supporters. My long-time boyfriend and soulmate of 32 years is always eager to lend a steamy scene idea or two. He’s actually very good at coming up with just the right inspiration. The most asked question I get these days is “do your ideas come from real life experiences?” My reply is always, “Now it wouldn’t be Fiction then, would it? I suppose one will just have to keep guessing as I will NEVER tell! With taking the greatest leap of faith, I now start my next journey. I can only hope I am as successful in making my readers happy as I have been in my past professions. Although I am a new author, I want to thank you for coming along on my writing journey with me.
