About the Author Who is Señora Dee Dee? The simple answer is - a lover of children and education. As a graduate of two Ivy League institutions, I firmly believe in inspiring children of all ages to ask meaningful questions; to engage in thought-provoking conversations; and to learn more about the world around them. My love for the Spanish language and Hispanic culture began many years ago. I am grateful for my impassioned instructors who have helped me to explore further. I strive to continue that tradition. As a student of the Rassias method, I enjoy engaging with young learners in a lively entertaining manner. I fondly remember my time spent living in Spain, and my travels from Andalucía (southern Spain) through Barcelona. In addition, I have traveled to several other Spanish-speaking countries. My love and respect for the Hispanic culture is present in each and every lesson. As a mother of three, I sought to inspire my own children from birth with conversation that evokes contemplation. As a result, they have each excelled academically. Now my goal is to share this love of education with other children – as many as I can! Inspired by my love for my own children, I offer in person and virtual instruction through Spanish4Preschools.com. In addition, many children enjoy learning Spanish through my music CD, Hip Hop Spanish 4 Kids, and we offer several books (in English and Spanish) as well as activity workbooks to embark on a lifelong adventure of learning to appreciate the Spanish language and Hispanic culture.
