I’m Sean, a scholar and writer passionate about the history and anthropology of food and eating. I am an Associate at the University of Michigan Lieberthal-Rogel Center for Chinese Studies. My books: Recipes from the Garden of Contentment and The Way of Eating, earned Best-in-the-Word at the 2018 and 2019 Gourmand World Cookbook Awards.
