Born in Brooklyn, New York, Serena Schreiber has lived in Miami, London, and Bremen, Germany. Since narrowly escaping corporate life, she writes children's fiction and short fantasy stories. Her work first appeared in 'My Eye is the Sky,' a collection of poems by the children of P.S. 312 (Brooklyn, New York 1973). Her debut novel for middle grade children, FINN'S SHIP, won a Royal Palm Literary Award in 2011. Don't miss the fast-paced, standalone sequels, FINN'S CAR, and FINN'S ROCKET. She is an active member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. She co-founded Howl at the Moon Writers Jam in Stuart, Florida. Schreiber's short story 'Axel's Wheels' appeared in the anthology 'My Wheels' in 2012. Her short story 'Fin Fatale' was published in the anthology 'It's a Crime' in October 2013. A collection of fantasy short stories will be released Fall 2014. Serena enjoys drinking coffee in exotic locations including at her day job, writing non-fiction for the Center of Environmental Studies at Florida Atlantic University.
