ABOUT THE AUTHOR 
 At the age of 15, Shan Peck started to write short stories, poems, and screen plays. By age 19, he was working as a technician for film studios in special effects and lighting, and also worked on the movie, Amadeus, directed by Oscar-winning director, Milos Forman. At age 24, Shan emigrated to the United States and in 1989 he moved to California where he joined a Gilbert & Sullivan theatre group. While living in California, Shan attended Santa Barbara Community College where he took accredited courses in Business Law and Design. Following the death of his father in 2001, he returned to Czechoslovakia, his birth country, where he worked as a Quality Engineer, Quality Assurance Manager and Manufacturing Project Manager. While working in the automotive industry, he received Black Belt/6 Sigma training. He has had several art shows in Europe and the U.S. and in addition to fine art painting, he has also done sculptures and spent significant time inventing technical and design improvements in fields like optics, acoustics and motion picture E2E2 systems.
