Shannon has always believed that life’s best moments come with adventures, a little chaos, and a lot of creativity. Nicknamed "Sorry Thompson" for her knack for accidental messes and her habit of saying "sorry" a little too often, she found inspiration for this book while making pink pancakes with her niece. Over time, Shannon began noticing how often women apologize unnecessarily, and she wanted to remind girls and women everywhere that they don’t need to say "sorry" for simply being themselves. Through this story, she hopes readers can find their own "Bean" within—a spark of confidence and self-acceptance—and embrace who they are. This is her first children’s book, and she hopes it inspires readers to embrace their quirks, chase their dreams, and, of course, enjoy a pink pancake or two.
