Sharon Hapton

SHARON HAPTON is a successful Calgary-based business woman, mother of two, and the founder and CEO of Soup Sisters. On a milestone birthday in 2009, Sharon was inspired to launch Soup Sisters, a grassroots organization that would engage thousands in the movement to help victims of domestic and family violence. She has been recognized for her work regionally and nationally, selected as one of Chatelaine’s and CityTV’s Women of the Year, Global Television’s Woman of Vision and received the Meritorious Service Medal by the Governor General of Canada. SOUP SISTERS is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing comfort to women and children in need through the making, sharing and donating of soup. Soup Sisters and Broth Brothers has grown to over 24 cities across Canada and the US, and has created a “stir” by delivering over 1 million servings of nourishing, nurturing soup to women’s shelters and youth crisis centers nationwide.
