Mrs. Wilson-Strann has been an educator since 1991. She holds a Bachelor of Education degree in Language Education (Literatures in English) with First Class Honours from the University of the West Indies, as well as a Master of Education degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from the University of Edinburgh. At present, she is pursuing her second Masters of Education degree in Literacy Instruction. Since July, 2019, Mrs. Wilson-Strann has conducted over 30 ELA parent-and-child workshops. In October, 2020, Mrs. Wilson-Strann started ELA teachers’ workshops and has completed 15 of them, thus far. In August to September of 2021, for example, she facilitated a teachers’ workshop with the North-West Regional Schools of the Anglican Board. Approximately two hundred Anglican primary school teachers learnt about instructional approaches to teaching reading comprehension, poetry and ELA Writing.
