Sharon Rich

Sharon Rich is an author and film historian and has lectured at AFI (East Coast), film festivals, cruises and film classes. She was close friends with Jeanette MacDonald's older sister, actress Blossom Rock, who asked her to write a candid biography about Jeanette's tragic love affair with Nelson Eddy. The resulting best-selling book "Sweethearts" blew the lid off the carefully crafted PR version of MacDonald and Eddy's supposedly blissful marriages to others. Rich has since authored, ghost written, edited or annotated over two dozen more books (such as MacDonald's unpublished autobiography) and written over 75 issues of "Mac/Eddy Today", a magazine documenting her MacDonald/Eddy and Hollywood research, source material, interviews and photos. In 1995 she was awarded a Dame of Merit from the Knights of Malta for her contribution to history and literature.
