Shawn Moksvold is a teacher who currently lives in Madrid, Spain. He has worked as an ESL teacher for over 19 years, teaching children and adults the wonderful complexities of the English language from a linguistic approach. He is also a writer and editor, with published travel articles on Spanish and European culture. He is author of "English Pronunciation: A Brief Guide for Spanish Speakers," and "Phrasal Verbs: A New Reference for English Learners and Teachers," a collection of over 450 of the most-used phrasal verbs in English. In this book, he draws a connection between the literal and figurative meanings of phrasal verbs. His latest product, "English Word Histories: Animals & Insects," is the first in a series of English etymology reference books. It explores over 300 creature names and vocabulary used by English speakers everyday.
