关于作者

Shelley's passion for animals, family, fitness, and travel are only matched by the great pleasure she takes in storytelling. She loves to be entertained - during her free time, you will find her listening to podcasts, reading novels, or searching for a new television crime drama to watch. Shelley has co-authored two books, Throw Like a Girl: Discovering the Body, Mind & Spirit of the Athlete in You (with Ann Troussieux, Beyond Words Publishing, 2000); Your Adopted Dog: Everything You Need to Know About Rescuing and Caring for a Best Friend in Need (with Katerina Lorenzatos Makris, Lyons Press, 2007). She also wrote and published Kids Guide to Movie Making (Amazon Createspace 1st Edition 2007, 2nd Edition 2020), Arnie Catches a Cold (Mascot Publishing 2015). Professionally, for 10 years Shelley worked as a drama teacher in the San Mateo County school district. Her classes were filled with creativity, laughter, games, and many play productions. She developed the Make-A-Movie Workshop program for children, writing and producing over 40 films. For six years Shelley was the Director of the Animal Film Festival, watching, rating, and selecting dozens of films from thousands of submissions over the years. Shelley has made appearances and been interviewed on Oprah, Dateline NBC, PEOPLE Magazine, KGO Radio and countless other television and radio shows. Shelley knows how to create characters and tell a story that captivates the imaginations and emotions of the audience.
