Simon Shugar, a native of Oxfordshire, England, currently resides in North Carolina, United States, with his awesome young son, Thomas and adored dog, Jasper. As a voracious reader, Simon found inspiration in the captivating works of Robin Hobb, Brandon Sanderson, and Patrick Rothfuss throughout his childhood. Originally pursuing a degree in game design at the University of Wolverhampton, Simon was drawn to the art of world-building and the endless possibilities it offered. However, he later transitioned to a career in software engineering, seeking stability and practicality. This change of direction ignited a new creative spark within Simon, kindling a passion for writing.
