Simon Thompson

Simon is Chief Executive of the Chartered Banker Institute, the largest professional body for bankers in the UK, with some 35,000 members and students in more than 100 countries. He chairs the UK’s Green Finance Education Charter on behalf of the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, is a Board member of the UK’s Financial Services Skills Commission (FSSC) and a member of the UK Green Jobs Delivery Group. Simon is a former Vice President of the European Bank Training Network. Simon is a Fellow of the Chartered Banker Institute, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, and holds an MBA from the University of Edinburgh. He also holds Honorary Doctorates from Bangor and BPP Universities.
