Simone Natale is Associate Professor at the University of Turin, Italy, and an editor of Media, Culture and Society, one of the leading academic journals in communication and media studies. He is the author of two monographs, "Deceitful Media: Artificial Intelligence and Social Life after the Turing Test" (Oxford University Press, 2021) and "Supernatural Entertainments: Victorian Spiritualism and the Rise of Modern Media Culture" (Pennsylvania State University Press, 2016). Previous to taking up a position in his hometown in Italy in 2020, he has taught and researched in universities across Canada, United States, Germany and the United Kingdom.
