Skip Gooch, originally from Borger, Texas, has a rich background in military service, having served as a target acquisition officer in Vietnam. After his time in the army, he worked for Southwestern Public Service in New Mexico, retiring after thirty-five years. He holds degrees in Electronics Technology and Business Administration from Eastern New Mexico University. A seasoned outdoorsman and bow hunter, Skip has spent decades in the wilderness of the Sacramento Mountains. He has also been a mentor and coach at New Mexico Military Institute and a Hunter Education Instructor. Married for over four decades and a father to four sons, Skip is deeply committed to passing his skills to the next generation, living by his motto: “Challenge is just another word for opportunity.”
