Skyler Trepel

Skyler Trepel is the author of the book "From Challenge to Champion" with Penguin Random House. His first book features 12 inspiring stories for kids about a variety of diverse athletes including LeBron James, Serena Williams, Tom Brady, Simone Biles, Patrick Mahomes, Allyson Felix, Michael Jordan and more. Skyler is also a journalist covering sports and entertainment for People Magazine and Entertainment Weekly with experience writing for many other publications too. He’s also worked as a multimedia sports editor, sports and entertainment reporter, sports columnist, sports anchor, sports and entertainment podcast host and more. Skyler’s loved sports since he was a kid and watched Space Jam starring Michael Jordan, where he learned about the inspiration that can come from sports. He’s also loved reading and writing since he was a kid, which is what makes him so thrilled to be writing sports books for kids like the ones he enjoyed reading. Skyler earned his Master of Arts in Specialized Journalism from the University of Southern California, a Film Production Diploma from the Toronto Film School and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Manitoba.
