Sofia Olivetti is an award-winning chef, culinary educator, and Mediterranean cuisine expert with over two decades of experience in professional kitchens across Europe and America. Born to Italian-Greek parents and raised between Barcelona and New York, she developed a deep passion for Mediterranean cooking from an early age. A graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, Sofia went on to earn her Pro Chef Level 3 certification and has been at the forefront of promoting healthy Mediterranean cooking in America. She served as a consulting chef for several prestigious universities, including Harvard and Yale, where she transformed student dining programs to incorporate Mediterranean dietary principles. As the founder of the Mediterranean Wellness Institute in Barcelona, Sofia has trained thousands of chefs and home cooks in authentic Mediterranean techniques. Her innovative approach to traditional recipes has earned her recognition from the International Association of Culinary Professionals, and her cooking programs have been featured on PBS and other major networks. When not writing or teaching, Sofia splits her time between her cooking school in Barcelona and her olive grove in Greece, where she hosts seasonal workshops on sustainable Mediterranean cooking. She is a frequent speaker at culinary conferences and has been a guest lecturer at the Culinary Institute of America, sharing her expertise in plant-forward cooking and traditional Mediterranean techniques.
