Born and raised in Switzerland, Sohaila Elshater loves to write about the human experience, in all its beauty and hardship. Her stories often centre characters dealing with the lack of belonging that characterises the experience of a person of mixed descent, touching on socio-political injustices, and the power of self-healing. The Dark Knight of the Souls is Sohaila's debut romantasy, and offers a narrative that challenges imperialism, converging the voices and journeys of resilient BIPOC characters in their struggle for justice and liberation. When she isn't writing, you can find her cocooning on her couch with her cats, a steaming coffee, and a good book.
