Sonica Ellis was born in Kingston, Jamaica but grew up in rural Manchester Parish. Since 2012, she has been living in the United States. Sonica draws inspiration from her childhood memories in rural Jamaica. Her stories often include the vibrant characters from her village. When she is not writing, Sonica enjoys reading comics, fantasy, sci-fi, mythology, and fiction in general. She also likes playing video games and spending time with her daughter, Jada-Lee, and their family dog, GiGi.
