Stacy Tate

关于作者

Hello, and thank you for your interest in me and my books. My name is Stacy Tate. I am a middle-aged woman who loves animals and loathes the industrialization of our food production. I am a licensed paramedic and have worked on the ambulance and in ERs and have traveled as a paramedic, as well. I am now starting my journey teaching emergency medicine. Learning and teaching is all I do, every day, all day. Flock University was an idea that started a few years back and is finally coming to fruition. The goal is to teach and inspire as many as I can to be more independent with their food source. I have seen many people stop others from starting to get chickens as a way to have a pet who can also feed you and it upsets me greatly. The problems other people have had are not the standard. My experience is that they tend to not have the right knowledge going into chicken keeping and create avoidable issues from the get-go. That is the crux of Flock University: to give you and your children the knowledge base to start strong and have a great poultry experience. I have had a love for art my whole life. I still wouldn't call myself an artist, but I certainly illustrate these books. I spent years learning the software and the skills to both write and illustrate these books (and videos and such) to help promote a lifestyle I truly believe is beneficial to us as humans, and animals too. I firmly believe the closer we are to living with nature, and not against it, the better off we will be. If this aligns with you, welcome. This is your tribe. I will be adding more books as we go. Rome wasn't built in a day. Also in Flock University is Julia Tate who is better at the story book side of things. I will be illustrating her books, as well. Be sure to check her out. You can keep up with us on socials or find our website (we are not allowed to link here) online. Thanks for reading this far. Your support means everything.
