Stefan Tetenbaum

Stefan Tetenbaum was born in Baltimore Maryland in 1950. In 1970 He went to Emerson college in Boston and then transferred to the London Slade School of Art. He studied screenwriting, Sculpture and Painting. Stefan moved to Los Angeles and met his Future wife Stella, who is a native Angelino. In 1976 they both studied with the best poets at the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics, a part of the Naropa University located in Boulder Colorado. Stella and Stefan got married in 1978 and both got jobs working at Playboy mansion west. After Playboy, they opened an art gallery in Manhattan Beach, CA. It was influential to the artistic groups and a local fixture in the beach city. Stella and Stefan then opened an eclectic shop in Redondo Beach called ‘Le Tete’ and worked there for close to forty years. Stefan and Sella returned to the Studio that Stefan started in 1986 after raising their Three Children and are working on art in their respective disciplines in Los Angeles, CA. They are currently working on multiple projects and continue to move forward in the art world.
