I've grown up the hard way as a writer. I began writing in about 1983 and began publishing articles and other pieces, but I received far more rejections than encouragement. I didn't get my first book contract until the the mid 1990s. Through the years I've received more rejections than I care to remember. But I just kept writing and writing...and published seven more books through the years. My latest volume, Boxers to Bandits, has a circulation of over 100,000 copies. But I still don't feel as if I've truly succeeded as a writer. There's always a new challenge and it's actually becoming harder, not easier, to get published by the traditional, commercial publishers. Meanwhile I've kept writing book manuscripts and I have quite a backlog at the moment. I also have been working as a free lance editor and ghostwriter for other authors. If you have a manuscript, it doesn't matter how roughly it's written--I'd be happy to take a look at it and possibly edit it for publication. I have two writers' websites that might be helpful: http://www.editingfactory.org and http://www.seeyourselfinprint.com. Lately, I've been writing multitudes of articles promoting my wife's internet travel business. I'm married to Debra and I have two stepkids and three grandkids. We presently reside in North Port, Florida.
