In 2008, Steve began writing fiction for Amazon Kindle Worlds, where authors licensed other authors to create stories using their original characters. Six of Steve's Kindle Worlds Miss Fortune books reached number one in the action/adventure categories. One of those Kindle Worlds books was in the world of treasure hunter and adventurer Dane Maddock, called Devil's Face. His first book, entitled Deal Me In, is a work of non-fiction. Poker legend Phil Hellmuth hired Steve to interview and write the personal stories of twenty of the top poker players in the world. Spending time with sports celebrities such as Phil Hellmuth, Chris Ferguson, Doyle Brunson, Jennifer Harman, Layne Flack. Tom Dwan, Phil Ivey and Johnny Chan inspired him to continue writing books. In the sports world, Steve has interviewed some of the biggest names in basketball, like Lebron James, Dwight Howard, Rajon Rondo, and John Wall. When Steve isn't writing, he is spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren, playing the local poker tables in Seattle, or knocking out classic rock songs on his acoustic guitar.
