Stephen R. Snodgrass

关于作者

Stephen R. Snodgrass has an AB degree in English and history from Boston College and a JD from Washington University in St. Louis. Before law school, he earned a PhD in psychology from Johns Hopkins University and taught psychology for four years at the State University of New York at Brockport. He currently practices at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP, a large international law firm with offices all over the world. Josh was his first innocence case, but he, along with others at Bryan Cave, has since represented two more men wrongfully convicted of murder. One, David Robinson, a Black man framed by the police in Sikeston, a city on the southern border of Scott County, was exonerated and released in May 2018. The third case, Donald Nash, involved a man referred to the Bryan Cave team by Josh. Nash was ordered released by the Missouri Supreme Court over the Fourth of July weekend in 2020 (although the case continued until October 2020 before the State dropped its plan to retry Nash and dismissed the case). Along with Charlie Weiss and Jonathan Potts, Snodgrass received the Missouri Lawyer of the Year Award for work on the Nash case. His role in the case was getting the State’s expert to admit that the DNA evidence against Nash was nothing but speculation. This admission was critical to Nash’s release, and the Missouri Supreme Court focused on it in its release order.
