Steve Syatt

Steve Syatt is the creator of Shushybye, a 'dream-themed' children's entertainment brand comprised of a popular television series, as well as critically-acclaimed and award-winning storybooks, music CD's and DVD's. Shushybye's plush dolls and sleepwear are also in-demand among fans throughout the country and around the world. In addition to creating Shushybye, Steve is also the songwriter for the many original Shushybye songs. Steve explains that he composes the songs musically for adults, while his lyrics are written (of course!) for children. For publisher Macmillan's Children's Publishing/St. Martin's Press, Steve is proud to serve as author of the Shushybye bedtime storybooks, which are beautifully illustrated by Frank Caruso. Shushybye fans can catch Steve as the rhythm guitar player with the Shushybye Dream Band (Shushy fans refer to the band as The Shushybyes). "I wrote the songs so I get to be in the band," Steve likes to tell people.
