Dr. Steve Terrell is Faculty Emeritus at Nova Southeastern University where he taught quantitative and qualitative research methods for 30+ years. He currently teaches as part-time faculty at Middle Georgia State University. His background includes master's degrees in business and counseling psychology and a doctorate focusing on research methods and statistics. He has served on the editorial board of several national and international journals and as Chair of the American Educational Research Association’s Online Teaching and Learning Special Interest Group. Steve is the author of "Statistics Translated: A Step-by-Step Guide to Analyzing and Interpreting Data" and "Writing a Proposal for Your Dissertation: Guidelines and Examples", as well as more than 140 journal articles, book chapters, conference papers, and presentations. Steve has worked with peers as the research methodologist and statistician on a wide range of research topics. These include the development of math skills in children with autism spectrum disorders, intrinsic motivation and achievement of elementary school students and the prediction of success in online learning at all levels. Currently he is actively involved in funded research focusing on the development of STEM awareness and interest of inner-city minority females. Steve and his wife Dalia are avid travelers; their fondest memories include trips to Istanbul, Iceland, Morocco and Eastern Europe. They live in South Florida with their beloved rescue mutts.
