STEWART F. LANE, President and Chief Executive Officer of Stellar Productions Int'l., Inc. and Stewart F. Lane Productions, Inc., Lane is a six-time Tony award winning producer for A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, War Horse, Jay Johnson: The Two & Only, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Will Rogers Follies and La Cage Aux Folles, as well as an nine-time nominee for the Broadway Productions of Gore Vidal's The Best Man, The Merchant of Venice starring Al Pacino, Alfred Hitchcock's The 39 Steps, Sunday in the Park with George (revival), Fiddler on the Roof (revival) starring Alfred Molina, Gypsy (revival) starring Bernadette Peters, 1776 (revival), The Goodbye Girl starring Martin Short, and Woman of the Year starring Lauren Bacall. Other productions include Romeo and Juliet starring Orlando Bloom and Condola Rashad, Cyrano De Bergerac starring Kevin Kline, Legally Blonde, Wait Until Dark starring Quentin Tarantino and Marisa Tomei, Enro, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, Gore Vidal's The Best Man, A Street Car Named Desire and many more. In all, he has been nominated for 15 Tony awards, and has been nominated for and received numerous other industry awards including four Drama Desk Awards, a Drama Critics Circle Award, Outer Circle Critics Award, and a Drama League Award. Mr. Lane is President and Chief Executive Officer of Stellar Productions International, Inc. and Stewart F. Lane Productions, Inc. Mr. Lane is co-owner of the legendary Palace Theatre on Broadway with the Nederlander Organization and a partner in the Tribeca Grill with Robert De Niro. He is also the co-founder of BroadwayHD. Expanding into film and television he has produced the documentaries Of Horse & Man narrated by Glenn Close, Show Business: The Road to Broadway. Movies have included: Christmas in Palm Springs, The Dog Who Saved Halloween, A Christmas Wedding Tail, A Nanny for Christmas, Stolen Child, Wyatt Earps Revenge starring Val Kilmer, and Brooklyn Rules starring Alec Baldwin and Freddy Prinze Jr. Also, he helped bring New York Philharmonic's presentation of Stephen Sondheim's "Company" starring Neil Patrick Harris, Patti LuPone, Stephen Colbert, Christina Hendricks, Jon Cryer, and Martha Plimpton to theaters. Television includes the Broadway Production of Company Starring Raul Esperaza, and Cyrano de Bergerac starring Kevin Kline and Jennifer Garner for Great Performances on PBS. With his company BroadwayHD, he filmed the Broadway production of Romeo and Juliet with Orlando Bloom and Condola Rashad. Mr. Lane has written the critically acclaimed "Jews on Broadway" (McFarland Publishers), "Let's Put on a Show," which is also on DVD, and the plays In The Wings (published in the spring 2008 by Hal Leonard), If It Was Easy (published by Performing Books and nominated for Best New Play by the American Theatre Critics Association), and A Moment In Time (with music and lyrics by John Denver) which he was awarded The 2011 John Denver Spirit Award for his work. He will also release a new book in 2015 called "Black on Broadway. He has directed extensively with productions of The Foreigner, The Gig, Ain't Misbehavin', If It Was Easy, The Golden Age, Frankenstein, Final Appeal with Chaz Palminteri and Stephen Baldwin, and In the Wings with Shannen Doherty. Mr. Lane is on the Board of Trustees of The Actor's Fund of America. Mr. Lane served on the Board of Governors of The Broadway League for eleven years and still remains a member of the League. He is on The Board of Advisors for The American Theater Wing and previously The Times Square Group. Mr. Lane is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Theatre Museum. Representing former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, Mr. Lane served on the Board of Directors at the New York State Theater at Lincoln Center and the Transitional Committee where appointed both the Commissioner for Cultural Affairs and the Commissioner of Film, Theater, and Broadcasting. Mr. Lane, along with his wife Bonnie, have been honored with the following awards: Drama League of New York's Benefit Gala honoree, Arts Horizons Paul Newman Award, Actors Fund Medal of Honor, Director of Humane Letters from Five Towns College, The Friars Club Sunshine Committee Award, The Child Development Center of the Hamptons Reach for The Stars Award, Ellis Island Congressional Medal of Honor, The Jewish National Fund Tree of Life Award, Boston University Distinguished Alumni Award, a Telly Award, The LA Stage Alliance Ovation Award, Western Heritage Wrangler Award, The National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene Award, and others. Giving back to the theater community, Mr. Lane has created scholarship funds at Columbia University Business Graduate School, and Boston University College of Fine Arts Undergraduate School, (B.F.A) as well as provided major support to the University of Massachusetts, Emerson College, and Fiorello H. La Guardia High School for the Performing Arts. Mr. Lane is a graduate of the Boston University College of Fine Arts.
