Sue Ray-Smolik

A country bumpkin who grew up surrounded by beautiful tree covered hills and clear running streams in western Pennsylvania. I was blessed to live in another area with abundant natural beauty here in Nebraska, and have called this home since 1985. I have been an elementary teacher for three and a half decades. I enjoy singing, writing, and drawing. Whether it is working in my yard or riding my bike at the lake, the outdoors is my happy place. My daughter, Stephanie, was born and raised in Nebraska. She, her husband, and adorable grandson Liam (all characters in my book The Evening Walk) recently moved back to the area from Colorado which makes for one happy grammy!
