This game’s an awesome time killer—it's smooth, fun, and super addictive! I’ve met some players and even had a bunch of phone chats with them... made friends from all over the world. I’m really into strategy games like this. The money I spend monthly is nothing compared to how much fun the competition is, and it doesn’t mess with the game’s balance. I’ve been playing since 2013!

Prepare to spend lots of money on this, only to have it stuck in limbo.
Maybe this isn't the best way to review this game, but being an online game, it is what it is.Pros:I have been playing this game almost since it was originally introduced (over 6 years ago). Like most games, it is addicting and having extra Apple Ipads around the house gave me the opportunity to play the game on 3 different devices (donating troupes to myself when others in my clan were not online). I am the leader of one of the oldest clans in the game (which means all 3 of my accounts are at the highest level, Legend). Unlike others at my level, I have spent relatively little money on the game (maybe I have a total of $1,000 across all 3 accounts into it). Others have spent multiple thousands of dollars to get to where my 3 accounts are (your mileage may vary).Cons:Ok, here is the rub. The owners of Clash of Clans (Supercell) have no specific schedule as to when maintenance is going to happen, and little indication on when there is going to be an upgrade. Good news everyone, this morning you wake up to find out there is a new upgrade available and you can NO LONGER play the game until you do the upgrade. Every upgrade is conflicted with additional problems and bugs that never seem to have been beta tested out of the system while the users struggle to continue to work with a game that is typically crashing on them. Last week was the worst for me. The 3 Ipads that I have been using for years are limited by Apple in that they can not run IOS beyond 9.3.5. The latest update for Clash of Clans needs to run on IOS 10+. This is NOT clearly evident as the store will never tell you an upgrade for Clash of Clans is available. I only figured this out by attempting to install Clash of Clans on yet, a 4th Ipad that I had lying around (photo above). If you install the LAST known working version, then the first start of the game will require you to upgrade (which again, it can not do).I have about $500 in gems installed between my 3 accounts that I now have no access to, and will NOT have access to them unless I expend MORE money to purchase 3 new devices in order to be able to retrieve the gems (which can only be used to spend on items for the game). I'll likely NOT go down this road as I once before purchased a newer Playstation game machines, specifically for a game I wanted to play that was delayed for over a year (and was considered a total bomb by all players and review... Tomb Raider - Angel of Darkness).
