Surekha Sule worked as a journalist in The Economic Times, The Financial Express and later turned to the social and development sector as an independent journalist, researcher and writer. Leveraging rich experience in rural development gained during her senior fellowship at National Institute of Rural Development (Hyderabad), Surekha offered consultancy on various development issues and taking up assignments from development media and development agencies. She wrote in English and Marathi for mainstream newspapers, magazines and websites. Surekha has been an environmental activist. Water and sanitation are her main concerns. She is well connected with various development sector functionaries and is an active member of many development sector e-groups. Now she writes blogs and contribute articles for private publications. After her first ever novel 'Open the Book, Close the Chapter', she is working on her next book.
