Susan A. Howard

Susan Howard considers herself a "life geek" - passionate about the miracles and mysteries that surround us every day, both material and mystical. Her passion for life has inspired a varied professional career in business, ministry, art, music, teaching and writing. She studied fine art at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, and then shortly after married and moved to the Pacific Northwest where she taught religious education in the diocese of Seattle and started several businesses. But none of her pursuits have been as profoundly meaningful to her as the role of wife, and veteran homeschooling mom. She says, "Motherhood drives most of my creativity." She is currently teaching, writing and painting in the Pacific Northwest with her husband of nearly 30 years, her five children and her standard poodle, Sophie.
