Susan McCabe

I was born in Los Angeles on Sunset Blvd at Kaiser. I was raised on Hollywood by my Swedish mother who came to this country to act, eloping with her Austrian Jewish "friend" on the Drottningham in 1940. My birth occurred twenty years later. My phD in English is from UCLA, and I have taught at University of Oregon, UCLA, Arizona State University and University of Southern California. My dual biography of H.D. and Bryher will be published by Oxford in Fall 2021. My teaching and research are in poetry, poetics, gender and queer studies, film, and ecological writing. I have published an invitation this March 2021 to my forthcoming book in Feminist Modernist Studies. My next book of poems beckons.
