Susan Mulvihill is based in Spokane, Washington, USA, where she is the Sunday garden columnist for The Spokesman-Review newspaper. In 2002, she became a Master Gardener affiliated with Washington State University, which gave her the opportunity to answer questions from gardeners facing challenges from insects, plant diseases, animals, the weather, and other issues that crop up along the way. Susan has long believed that everyone can and should grow a garden and has made it her mission to provide the information and solutions to a wide audience both nationally and internationally. She also strongly believes in the importance of using organic methods. Her website, SusansintheGarden.com, contains the wealth of gardening knowledge that she has learned over the years and is very willing to share with everyone! Another way Susan educates about gardening is through the 400+ how-to-garden videos she has hosted and produced on a wide variety of topics. You can find them on her YouTube channel, youtube.com/SusansintheGarden. She is also a botanical photographer. In addition to being the author of "The Vegetable Garden Problem Solver Handbook" (2023) and "The Vegetable Garden Pest Handbook" (2021), she is also co-author of the "Northwest Gardener's Handbook" (2014).
