Susan R. Stoltz

关于作者

One of three children and daughter of two educators, Susan has had many opportunities in her lifetime but one of the most challenging has been her adventure into children’s book authorship. “It’s not as easy as some would think,” Susan explained. “You have to know age appropriate vocabulary, relevant topics, how to stimulate learning and inspire critical thinking, and then wrap that all up into something entertaining as well. Not a task for the weak of spirit." Her writing experience has included journalism, editing, autobiography, short story, newsletter and magazine publishing, as well as children's books. She was a columnist and journalist for an award winning newspaper in Wyoming, The Glenrock Bird. She has written for several magazines nationwide including Open Range, Florida Bird Magazine, Women Out West, and was most recently published in Wild Times the magazine for the Phoenix Zoo. She has also been a featured speaker at several writers conferences including Writing the Rockies at Western State Colorado University, Ozark Creative Writers Conference, Eureka Springs, Arkansas and Women Writing The West, Denver, Colorado. Current releases include: Steve the Dung Beetle On A Roll; Imara's Tiara; My But Notes; My Bird Notes; My Dinosaur Notes; My Zoology Notes; A Flamboyance, A Crash, and A Dazzle; Edie Goes The Wrong Way; XRay Dinosaurs and Other Prehistoric Creatures; Let's Count Butterflies.
